Itinerary
Day 1: Kosice pick up and travel to Poprad

Today we will collect you from Kosice Airport or Rail Station. We will travel to Poprad. In Poprad you can visit the Podtatranské museum and the Tatra Gallery. In the square Námestie v. Egídia you can find a variety of shops, restaurants and cafes. Not far from it you can visit the medieval part of Poprad - Spišská Sobota. Spišská Sobota is one of the best preserved medieval urban units in Slovakia. Its square is bordered by burgher houses built on narrow medieval plots. A common characteristic of these houses are the tall shingled roofs with massive shingled cornices. You can also find a Roman-Catholic church built before 1273 in the Late-Romanesque style, the church of St George. It was rebuilt in the Gothic style in 1464. The church contains five beautiful Gothic altars.
Day 2: Vysoke Tatry
The High Tatras is situated in the north of Slovakia, shared partly with Poland. The High Tatras are the only mountains of Alpine type in the whole Carpathian Mountain range, and it is often called "the smallest alpine mountains in Europe". There are about 600 km of marked tourist trails in the territory of the High Tatras that take tourists to the most attractive places of this mountain region. Tourist can find trails leading through valleys, ascents to Tatra chalets, trails to the most beautiful mountain lakes and a fascinating world of animals and plants. The High Tatras are ideal for all tourists. They offer easy walks for families with children, active hiking for more demanding tourists or real challenges for those who want to reach the highest peaks. All trails designated for tourists in the Tatra National Park are marked (red, blue, green, yellow) and divided in groups according to the level of difficulty. Day 3: Vysoke Tatry
Tour Sample: Hikes in valleys - To Wahlbergovo pleso through Furkotská dolina. Starting point Štrbské Pleso. Difficulty: moderate, Distance: 6.3 km, Ascent: 869 m, Descent: 18 m, Duration: 7:30 h, Lowest point: 1,346 m, Highest point: 2,197 m.
Day 4: Vysoke Tatry
Tour Sample: Peak ascent - Kriváň, Rysy, or Slavkovský štít. Difficulty: – hard Distance: 8.6 km , Ascent: 1,101 m, Descent: 19 m, Duration: 9:00 h, Lowest point: 1,351 m, Highest point: 2,433 m
Day 5: Slovak Paradise National Park
Another great place for hiking is Slovak Paradise (Slovensky raj). It is a beautiful national park with lively forests, wide meadows and plateaus, canyons, gorges, underground caves and waterfalls. This very popular north eastern region is a hidden treasure amongst Slovak national parks. There are 300 km of marked trails stretching through this magical paradise. Even if it the walking trails might look challenging, they are not as their elevation is not particularly high, but the walk still feels like an adventure. If you like adventure, you will definitely enjoy crossinging ravines and obstacle courses full of wooden or metal ladders, bridges and chains. Tour Sample: Sucha Bela. Day 6: Slovak Paradise National Park

Day 7: Poprad
Today you will spend the day resting and recovering after hiking at Aqua City Poprad, a resort located in Poprad by the High Tatras mountains. The resort was nominated by the World Travel Awards (WTA) as the best place for a family vacation, the best spa centre and the best leading Green Resort. Aqua City resort is composed by a water park, spa, hotels and conference centre which are all connected by glass lifts and airy corridors. They all use alternative energy sources. The resort’s hotels, spa and water park are heated by a geothermal spring water, drilled from a vast subterranean lake, supplying up to 80 per cent of the total electricity used. By avoiding fossil fuels, the resort saves 27 tons of carbon emissions per day. Tourists will definitely feel that they are having fun and experiencing a sustainable tourism. In Aqua City you will be able to enjoy an Olympic pool, water park, indoor and outdoor dipping pools, a floating bar, and a health spa. If you are looking for relaxation, you will find your place at the wellness centre, which is divided into a private and a party zone, with different types of saunas and inhalation rooms, offering also resting rooms with waterbeds. If you prefer to enjoy a drink by the pool, you enjoy this unique 14m long Vital Pool Bar with trendy cocktails and meals. At the end of the day, to finish up in great style, there is a light show with different themes every day of the week. You can watch it in the pool while listening and dancing through the music. In the winter, the best place to be is the outdoor pools, where you can enjoy the snow and the hot spring waters at the same time
Day 8: Poprad and drop off to Kosice Airport

In the morning you will have some free time to visit Poprad city centre with its lovely cafes and restaurants, do some shopping or just relax in the main square of Spisska Sobota. In the afternoon we will drop you off at Kosice Airport or Kosice rail station. We could also drop you off at Poprad rail or bus station.
